About the Event  

Design Jam 2.0 is the perfect platform to start your web design journey. The rules are simple. All you have to do is design the front end of a website based on the given theme. This contest might be the perfect challenge for you to get your mind up and running during these stressful times. To level the playing field, we have different categories for the rookies and tech-wizards! Based on your level of expertise we will announce your web designing tasks on 19th May, 2021 and you will be required to make the submission by 25th May, 2021. You will have to host your website on GitHub pages based on which the evaluation will take place. The best designers in both categories will be awarded cash prizes up to Rs.3k! We also have domain names up for grabs for the top contenders!

Rules

  1.  You will be developing only the front-end design of a website and not the server-side.
  2.  You can choose the tier in which you are participating (Beginner and Advanced).
  3.  You will have prizes according to your tier of choice and the quality of submissions.
  4.  You will require a GitHub account for this event.
  5.  All the websites you make will have to be hosted on GitHub pages

FAQ

I'm a newbie to web designing, can I participate?

Yes, you can. Even if you just started learning the basics of front-end designing, you can take part in this challenge and you will be judged only amongst the people of your caliber and can win exciting prizes in the process.

Will I receive any Certicicates?

All Winners and Participant will receive an Appreciation certificate and Participation certificate respectively :)

How long is the competition for?

Once the theme of the competition has been announced, you will have upto 2 days to make your submission.

Can I use online resources?

Google and StackOverflow are our apples   You are free to use online guides and learning resources during the process. You can also use some elements of your website from pre-made sources like bootstrap. In the end, it is absolutely necessary that the entire design is from your own creativity. Any resemblance to existing pages from the internet will lead to disqualification.

Where will my project be judged?

Your project will have to be hosted on your GitHub pages. We will use that link to go through your project and then judge it. If you are new to GitHub you can use this link to know more.

Who can participate?

We are open to anyone 16 years or older who has a valid college ID card and is interested in working on creating fun, cutting edge designs.
